Preseason Notes
The season got off to a very early start with the race
committee meeting January 6th. This years master of ceremonies, Steve
Schewe, was pleasantly surprised....... STORY
Gold and Silver Racing Competition Best in Years
2007 may be remembered by some of the closest, if
not the closest, races in the club’s history. The Gold series
came down to the last weekend.......... STORY
Flying Scot Turns 50
Back in 1957 Sandy Douglas introduced a family daysailer that the
whole family could use. Shortly after hitting the water, a year or
so later an enthusiastic group....... STORY
Progressive Dinner Another Delight
The Progressive Dinner, was once again a fun filled evening as 63
participants took to the lake to satisfy their appetites. Organized

Scot Districts Gets Big PYC Turn-out
The 2007 districts were held Sept 8-9 at Crystal Lake Sailing Club
in Crystal Michigan. The fab five of Jim & Marie Davis, Todd &
Suzanne Moore, Ela Sliwerska & Michael Ehnis, BJ & Tina Johnson
and Jack White and Bruce Bongionni....... STORY

Lake Regatta
What a difference a week makes! One week after a sub-par finish in
the Hot to Trot, Brook Smith and Colleen Hughes #1380 found their

Trip
Every season there seems to be one road trip to an off-lake regatta
where the participants seem to fall into “The Twilight Zone”....... STORY
Annual Dinner
This year’s event was held Saturday November 3 which coincided
with the 100th anniversary of Michigan – Michigan State football
game leaving some sailors with the dilemma....... STORY
Show Us Your Glass
Thanks to this years Broken Rudder winner, Suzanne Moore, who did
so in convincing fashion very early of the season, a couple of otherwise
worthy candidates.......
